ENHANCING COLLABORATION WITH MALAYSIA HIGHER EDUCATION

To comply with FTI Jayabaya’s vision to be able to compete at the international level, on  December 11 – 13th 2019 the FTI’s dean along with the international relations team had visited several leading universities in Malaysia. On this occasion, the Dean explored academic collaboration such as education, research and publication with the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

The cooperation concerns on the fields of education and research. In terms of education, FTI Jayabaya and UiTM has been doing the summer program for FTI’s students since 2018. In the last program which held on February 2018, 20 students as participant not only get academic experience like renewable energy but also got some point of other cultures.

To enhance international cooperation, FTI Jayabaya has been developing an education collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. As a result, 20 students of chemistry club of UKM are going to visit FTI Jayabaya on February 4th, 2020. At the meeting also discussed about opportunities to do some joint researches between Jayabaya and UKM. In addition, this cooperation also can be developed for international conference activities.

The benefit of these visit are expected to be able to provide a breakthrough for FTI Jayabaya  facing the new era of disruption by improving the quality of education. In the future, FTI Jayabaya will expand collaboration network among universities in the Asian region.
